Why is Laughter Good for the Body?

Laughter has been proven to help a person's physical and emotional well-being. Laughter increases endorphins that are released and help with oxygen intake. Laughter helps someone emotionally by reducing stress and relieving an unhealthy mindset.

Laughter increases endorphins that are released and helps with oxygen intake. "Laughter - doing it or observing it - activates multiple regions of the brain: the motor cortex; and the frontal lobe, which helps you understand context; and the limbic system, which modulates positive emotions." (Gibson). Laughing keeps our oxygen levels balanced.

Laughter helps someone emotionally by reducing stress by getting you out of your negative thoughts and by helping with muscle tension. "Laughing automatically triggers positive physical and mental change that helps relax your mind." (Brennon).

Laughter is good for your mind and body because it increases endorphins that are released and help with oxygen intake. Laughing is also suitable for someone with asthma since your oxygen intake increases by a reasonable amount.
